Where Mould Grows On A Sunshine Coast Home

Mould, mildew and algae grow down into the surface. Hit them with a high pressure blast and you tear off the top growth while the roots stay in the render, the mortar or the paint. The wall looks clean for a while, then the black mould comes back within months. Meanwhile the pressure has done its own damage, lifting paint, scarring render and forcing water in behind cladding and window seals.

Every job runs the same way, because the routine is what stops things going wrong.
- A quote over the phone. Tell us what is growing, where it is and roughly how big the area is. We can usually quote on the spot without making you wait days for a site visit, and you get it as a fixed written quote.
- Garden first. Before any solution comes off the van, your plants get wet down. We park off your driveway and verge, and nothing gets mixed near your garden beds.
- Surface check. We look at what the mould is growing on and match the mix and the pressure to it.
- Treat. The mould treatment goes on at low pressure, then it gets time to dwell and work into the growth.
- Rinse. A gentle rinse carries the dead growth away. Hard surfaces like paths and driveways get the pressure they can take.
- Garden last. Every external plant gets a final rinse before we pack up.

Mould Remediation On The Outside Of Your Home
Search for mould remediation and most of what comes up is about the inside of a house. That is a different job, and we want to be clear about which one we do.
Mould inside a home, on a ceiling, in a bathroom or behind a wardrobe, usually starts with moisture. A roof leak, water damage, condensation or poor ventilation. It needs a specialist who does mould inspections, finds the source and deals with it properly. That is not us, and we will not pretend it is. If that is your problem, call a specialist first.
What we do is the outside. Mould on render, brick, cladding, fences, paths and driveways is a surface problem driven by the weather, and it responds to the right cleaning. Done properly, the outside job means killing the growth, removing it without harming the surface underneath, and slowing down how fast it comes back.
We keep an eye out while we are there, too. A gutter overflowing onto a wall or a downpipe dumping water against the render is a common cause of mould growth, and it will keep feeding it however well we clean, so if we spot one, we will point it out.

Where heavy mould sits right above a lawn or a sensitive garden bed, we tell you before we start, not after. We will be straight with you. On rare occasions a sensitive plant can still show some die-off afterwards. Our whole routine is built to prevent it, and we would rather tell you up front than pretend otherwise.
We ask you to keep kids and pets inside while we are working. Everything is back to normal once we have packed up and the surfaces have dried.
